Statement from Corendon Airlines - May 9, 2024

During the landing of Corendon Airlines' flight CAI1031 from Cologne to Alanya/Gazipaşa on May 9, 2024, the nose landing gear tires of the Boeing 737-800 aircraft with registration 9H-TJF burst. Following the tire burst, the aircraft came to a safe stop on the runway.

There was no incident involving the aircraft fuselage, and there are no reports of any accidents. Passengers were safely disembarked from the aircraft via stairs, and there were no injuries or health issues reported among the 184 passengers and flight crew. Additionally, there is no runway damage that has been reported.

Due to the inability to remove the aircraft from the runway, flights scheduled to land at Gazipaşa are being redirected to alternative airports. Corendon Airlines' subsequent operations to Alanya-Gazipaşa Airport will continue from Antalya Airport.
